It's both weird and sad to me that some of the easiest phones to degoogle are Google branded phones. Why aren't more mobiles just plain open?! I did like my Pixel2, but I generally flip flop between Android and iOS. It's now time for Android again, and I picked up a nice and am annoyed at how much on here I just can't remove. It'd be nice to just run one of the many choices out there such as , , Mobian, or . I miss and .

Does anyone have a and if so what OS/apps do you run on it? (I know @piggz has a port for it up and running, bravo!)

Or other non-Apple-or-Android tablet?

Anything with a sim for cellular data?

Keen to hear your experiences.

Looking forward to the official announcement of this as fully supported device. It's way more sustainable due to great battery life.

For some reason I'm still only being offered version 27 releases of on the stable channel (unlike @ljo) but I'm still happy that the upgrade from 27.1.5 to 27.1.6 went totally smoothly. Great work as ever from the team.

ljo,

@vwbusguy @flypig @blizzz Fortunately it did not bite me from what I can tell. All ten-ish instances already upgraded in the staged stable upgrade to 28 went smooth. Looking forward to the 28.0.2 next week then. I actually had most complaints about the too old browser continue anyway dialogue. (their browsers certainly were a lot newer than the gecko ;))

Please reply:

  1. What's your favorite app?
  2. Do you use more than one UI framework?
  3. Do you use Waydroid (or another way to run Android apps)?
  4. What apps do you miss? (Do they keep you from daily driving?)
  5. Which #MobileLinux distro/OS do you use?
  6. Should we add more questions and what would be your answer?
