Day 1 - What are your writing plans for the coming year?

As my namesake would say;

River Song from Doctor Who. She is sporting a mischievous smile, and saying, "Spoilers."

Day 3 - MC POV: Are you a fan of anything?

"Are you kidding? SO many things. I mean, my mum's books, for starters. Doctor Who, World of Warcraft, Supernatural, Buffy...pretty much anything sci-fi, fantasy, or both. Usually a bit dark. Never thought stuff like that would end up being my reality."

(Catching up) Day 4 - SC POV: How do you feel about family? Who do you consider family?

"My blood family's all gone now. I've found a new one with the Knights, and strangely enough, the Pack. Harper, though...she's the most like family to me. And I love her. Of course I love her. Who wouldn't? Although I was charged as her protector, I would do it even if I wasn't. She is a light in an otherwise darkened world."

Day 6 - MC POV: What would you ask a Genie if you weren't sure how they'd interpret your words & believed they might trick you?

"Hmm. That's a tough one. I really can't afford any more disasters, so I'd just wish to give the remainder of my wishes to the Genie. They could figure out what to do with them, then."

Day 9 – Is there a decision your MC has to make where all the choices are bad?

This is something that’s going to come up in book three of . I’ve had this particular part playing on a heartbreaking loop in my head for years, even though it hasn’t yet been written. Sorry, in advance, friends. It might even be more of an emotional sucker punch than the ending of book two. Lol.

Day 13 – What convictions or values guide your characters’ decisions?

In , Oli has a pretty strong moral compass. Unfortunately, it gets a bit hard to read sometimes when the wolf under her skin starts getting angry. But her Pack understands this, and they help to remind her who she is to keep her on her path when she can’t.

Day 22 — Have you ever scrapped a written character? Why?

YES. I entirely deleted a character from book three of that my ex-bestie helped me name. Why? Because...fuck him. It was cathartic. 😂

Knowing so many of you share my love of #books, maybe you can help me find a new one to get lost in. I just finished “All the Light We Cannot See” by Anthony Doerr which was beautiful.

We haven’t compiled a good reading list together in months…

What stories have you discovered or rediscovered lately? 📚

@Sheril
I haven't done much reading these last few years, but finding "Into The Forgotten Forest" by @cyborg_writer surprisingly got me back to it.

The book itself belongs to fantasy / urban fantasy I guess, but it's unlike others in the genre as it has so much mythology, and combines it with the idea of a multiverse. Really enjoyed the world building and all these wonderful character viewpoints! Reading the second installment now.
