One reason for my recent trip down south was to meet with a cousin who has inherited some old family photo albums. Here is one such photo. For residents of Te Whanganui-A-Tara this photo, taken in March 1934 (90 years ago), of the Karori tunnel will be instantly recognisable. Taken by my great-Uncle.

Anyone in looking for a cleaner?

  • $65 for 2 hours and $95 for 3
  • I clean with the products in your house
  • I have a list of everything I use, if you're unsure
  • Can arrange pricing for bringing my own supplies
  • ADHD-friendly
  • Vaccinated
  • Non-judgemental

I'm looking to add 2 regular cleans to my roster, be that 1 weekly clean or 2 fortnightly cleans. I'm also open to monthly cleans, and for the next four months I have extra availability for one-off cleans.

Remember these? Slowly fading into oblivion, but if you pay attention you can still find quite a few scattered across the footpaths of .
We just had to stay to the left, when passing others.

Back in NZ, first time back in Wellington CBD to catch up with some friends. Just arrived at the station to catch a train back home....but no.

All the trains are stopped.

Replaced by buses.

The next one goes in an hour.

So now I'm stuck here.

Why is this country such a backward sh*t hole????

Seriously??? How hard can it possibly be not to screw up practically everything?

My walkabouts through never fail to turn up surprises, often in the form of residential . Today it was the back streets of the Newtown suburb.
Made all the more legit conducted in an eye-stinging gale.

Dramatic front entrance to a residence, through a large circular wooden arch and backed by a stained glass feature wall of green, blue, and red panes.

The good thing about my local park is it's mostly sheltered from the wind, because in it is frequently very windy.

Summer finally arrived in , went for an epic ride to Mt Kaukau then to Mākara Peak, downhill then home.

The crowds singing waiata outside Parliament sing out of longing for the safety and freedom of real people, real humans - and ask more people in to stand together against an unconscionable collective punishment that is worse by the day.

Got home just before hit . Rescued a bedraggled who can come inside but doesn't want to. 🐈 ⛈️

She is now towelled dry in the laundry with a fresh towel to sit on and her food and water bowls. Will she stay there? Who knows? 🙄

Yeah, I'd say that southerly squall predicted to hit as of 3pm has fully arrived, and right on time 😲 Now comes the thunder and lightening.

Who says that the millions spent on road building in Aotearoa is at the expense of building enough public housing? Here we see both...

jomangee,

@strypey I was watching the 4pm claiming of spots in - architectural alcoves, spots next to warm power transformers, extract air outlets and assorted other places. We should design more rest spaces in our places.

Who are The Guardians Of The Golden Mile?

Have they seen this Golden Mile lately? Do they want it to continue to look so run down?

Had a nice time at Zealandia this afternoon. Saw a lot of kākā, a solid seven tuatara, many tūī, a smattering of pūtangitangi, a karearea or two, and various other birds. Very pleasant. Didn't spot a takahē though 🤨🧐🤔👀
