Deswegen schon nö, weil bei den meisten Seiten dann ebenfalls nur ein Teil des Artikels zu sehen ist und ich dann wieder genötigt werde, ein Abo abzuschließen. Aber dann wurde ich schon getrackt.
Also werde ich das nicht abschalten und grundsätzlich solche Seiten meiden und mein Geld bekommen die auch nicht. 🤷

Versuche eventuell einen anderen Browser oder tarne Dein Gerät als Safari/iPad, wenn Du eine "Adblocker abschalten" Meldung bekommst.
@ValerieSonh Yeah, this tracks. We're now a month or two into turning off all paid advertising for #Ploopy and literally none of the traffic data we can audit directly has registered meaningful negative change.
It's almost as if our users (mostly people who know their way around technology) have effective ways of avoiding ads altogether?!
My mother-in-law just called me and asked if she should invest in the "new Bitcoin". She saw a video on FB where a famous Czech actor praised it on a talk show. Clearly a deepfake scam.
And she would definitely do it if she didn't have me. Some time ago I defended ad blockers as tools of online security and this is a real-life example that it's really the case.
Until Google, Meta and others get their act together, their ads should be blocked.
I don't use an #AdBlocker. I haven't used an ad blocker in a decade or more. I see plenty of ads on the web. What I do is block third-party #cookies and known cross-site #trackers. The number of sites (even apparently legitimate sites) that implore me to disable my ad blocker is disappointing.

#Captcha dialogs that don't work unless you turn off your #adblocker .. of course you might allow the specific #tracker that makes the captcha functional, but not always clear which one to pick.
