Last night on #Poland#Belarus border, a Polish border guard was stabbed with a knife by a person storming the border fence. It is unknown whether that was an actual immigrant or Belarus spetsnaz in civilian clothes. Polish border guard evacuated the stabbed soldier but did not respond in any kinetic way to avoid provocations. This is the second stabbing so far.
Throwing rocks, using stroboscopes and laser pointers to blind the border guard is routine practice by the groups storming borders, guided by Belarussian KGB soldiers.

The first slide is a high-level design for the 50 km zone, the second is direct vicinity of the border. Note the use of natural barriers, such as swamps and tree lines in the latter, but the Polish word “zabagnienie” (“enswampification”) indicates an such zones created intentionally - beavers are going to love it 😉

The people are demanding their right to be heard, and a putin-backed oligarch is using force to subdue them. We used to call these color revolutions.

The times when small groups of actual migrants, including families with women and children, sneaked through the forest are long gone. Since around 2022 it’s exclusively young, masked men, often equipped with strobe lights and lasers and guided by uniformed Belarussian border guards. Granted that in 2022 Belarus welcomed a large group of “Wagner Group” mercenaries and employed them as instructors, speaking of “migrants” is no longer sustainable - these are coordinated attempts of storming EU border by men who can be Russian/Belarussian saboteurs or “Wagner” mercenaries, or any combination of these.
Polen misstraut Russland und dessen Verbündeten Belarus schon länger. Nun hat Regierungschef Tusk verkündet, die "gesamte Ostgrenze" mit neuen Befestigungsanlagen abzusichern. Dafür erwartet er auch Investitionen aus der EU.
