I confess that I am usually very skeptical of comic book translations, but after seeing that my good friend @bef recommended this Spanish translation of Jens K. Styve's Dunce, I decided to buy it. And I don't regret it in the slightest, it's really good 🤣 Someone quite accurately described it as an alternate universe where Calvin grew up and moved to Norway 😉
#BOTD: Gus Arriola (July 17, 1917 – February 2, 2008) was an American cartoonist known for the comic strip Gordo, which ran from 1941 to 1985. He used the strip to introduce Mexican culture to readers throughout the world and was awarded by the National Cartoonist Society in 1957 and 1965. Charles Schulz described it as "probably the most beautifully drawn strip in the history of the business."
