Alex Karp () / Israel’s biggest supporter in the world: "I want to shame those who are not speaking up."

[…] Karp's support for Israel is not surprising, and possibly even beneficial, for Palantir in the Israeli market. Palantir has a office in Tel Aviv, which is home to many government agencies and security organizations that are potential clients. By positioning itself as an advocate for Israel, Palantir can differentiate itself from its competitors and attract more business. "The advantage of Israel is its ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies," Karp said. "Our products know how to give the best response possible in such situations. I am confident that in the near future, we will have more to say about the things that Palantir has done for Israel."

[…] If the West didn’t have “real adversaries,” Karp said he’d be one of the people trying to contain ’s use in the military. “But the reality of our life now, as knows, is our adversaries are real, dangerous and they go so far outside the norms of behavior.

Apparently on going occupation, and , are within the “norms of behavior”.

Alex Karp is the son of a Jewish immigrant who came to the United States in the 1960s. Palantir is a software company that specializes in data integration and analytics. The company has been involved in several high-profile projects, including working with the US Department of Defense and the , and faced criticism for its ties to law enforcement and surveillance activities. Palantir has been involved in some controversial projects related to immigration and national security.

“When the Israel-Hamas War Broke Out, Apple TV Asked to Stop Writing the Script”

There’s a lot that’s wrong with foreign media corporations buying the rights and airing Israeli productions, especially the ones revolving around Israeli-Palestinian conflict – from propaganda on behalf of Israel, to lack of diversity of voices (a narrow and biased representation of the conflict), their ability to skew and influence public opinion (distorted view of reality which reinforces existing power dynamics, rather than challenging them), but also disregard for International Law (the Israeli occupation is still a an issue, which is downplayed or ignored).

[…] Three months on, though, Spiegel admits that there is huge uncertainty over whether foreign broadcasters are interested in receiving content from Israel. "Every broadcaster is asking itself, 'What am I prepared to take from Israel and in what form should it be told?' Right now, they have more questions than answers," she says.

/ Preserving the Palestine Heritage: paper and film documents held by UNRWA need preservation

[...] Hundreds of thousands, 296,680, of family files containing more than 16 million documents, including travel documents; land deeds; birth, death and marriage certificates; guardianship papers; utility and tax bills; curfew permits from the British Mandate period and other documents dating back to the period of Ottoman rule before World War I are also held by UNRWA. They are being preserved now through a project that is seeing the digitizing and indexing of these files.

[al-Majdal Magazine, Issue No.60, August 2022]

[...] , in its repression of Palestinian resistance, is no different from other colonial enterprises throughout history. A core feature of colonialism is that the colonized population is prevented from enjoying the liberties enjoyed by the colonizing society. Calls for freedom and self-determination, or even of the very right of a colonized people to exist, are construed by the colonial regime as existential threats. The colonizer thus works to delegitimize, silence, and violently repress the voices articulating those claims to legitimate resistance in the pursuit of self-determination. Israel’s attacks on Palestinian civil society should be understood as yet another example of this colonial logic.

/ PEN America: “Gravely Alarmed” by Destruction and Damage to Hundreds of Culture and Educational Sites in Gaza

“Schools, libraries, mosques, churches, and cultural centers are not just buildings; they are sanctuaries of knowledge, bastions of cultural identity, and beacons of intellectual and artistic freedom. Libraries in particular safeguard cultural heritage and history. For many in Gaza, they represented places to gather, to celebrate, and to learn. To see such cultural institutions in ruins represents a tragic loss for their communities, ” said Liesl Gerntholtz, inaugural director, PEN/Barbey Freedom to Write Center.

West Bank settlers are exploiting the “propitious moment” created by the war that started to expel thousands of Palestinians from their homes and lands. They are terrorizing them through various means in order to drive them from their villages. Far from everyone’s eyes, the West Bank is changing almost irreversibly.

"Leaving the cat to guard the cream"

The Israeli government appointed Zvi Sukkot as the new chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee (ועדת החוץ והביטחון), which supervises the activities of the Shin Bet.

The chairman of the committee is considered one of the most senior figures in the Israeli security system, and reports on most of the activities of the security system, and as such, considered one of the most prestigious in the Knesset.

Sukot is a member the "Religious Zionist Party", but was the executive director of far-right Jewish-supremacist "Otzma Yehudit party", and representative of the terror group "The Revolt".

A petition to stop the nomination has already gained more than 11,000 signatures: https://www.standing-together.org/petitions/sukot

It reads:

We read this and could not believe it: The government appoints MK Zvi Sukkot - a Jewish terrorist suspect - as chairman of the subcommittee of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee on the West Bank(!).

Leaving the cat to guard the cream.

The Shin Bet acted against him for years, and now he is responsible for overseeing their work there.

Sukkot will be in charge of all monitoring and oversight of surveillance and oversight around Jewish terrorism.

This cannot be agreed to. It cannot be agreed that Benny Gantz joins the government to maintain some sanity, and then this happens.

Benny Gantz - stop this now.
