@beanface42 : wowowow, elle est magnifique. Je ne savais pas que la hermes 3000 existait en aussi carré. C’est dans les 1970 ? (j’ai 2 rondes, première génération, avec son vert cultissime).
At the end of it, I know that the projects I do take on – be they jars of herbs or small rituals, necklaces made of certain stones or clothes woven just so – are few and far between. If I light a candle and say a few words, they are more likely to be a prayer than an incantation. Surely that’s not Witchcraft.
@TheWildHuntNews what an absolutely fantastic piece. I resonate with it greatly as someone who does identify as being a witch but seems to interpret "magic" much less literally/supernaturally than I see a lot of people describe their magic. I very rarely perform anything that could be understood as a "spell" & although intensely interested in herbalism I treat claims from random online tincture sellers with extreme skepticism. I practice divination but I can't say it's "predicting the future" because that's not correct.
Of course these are also reasons why I feel at a distance from some other ritualists who don't describe themselves as witches, too, but never mind that — again, this post is really good.
🌟 Celebrating the Birthdays of the Gods 🌟
In ancient Egypt, the final five days of the year were celebrated as the Birthdays of five of their major deities: Osiris, Horus, Seth, Isis and Nephthys.

For #AllHallows, have a relief of #Hermes in his role as #psychopomp. Hermes guides the souls of the dead to the underworld. Here, he takes the hand of a dead woman named Myrrhine on the way down to Hades.

A late #DayOfZeus entry today because I didn't manage to post before work:
It's the birth of #Athena: The tiny goddess jumps from #Zeus' head in full armour!
On the left, #Hermes and a rare bearded #Apollon watch the scene. On the right, an unknown goddess and #Ares look on.

@AimeeMaroux@antiquidons@mythology Zeus developed an unbearable headache, which made him scream out of pain so loudly it could be heard throughout the earth. The other gods came to see what the problem was. Hermes realized what needed to be done and directed Hephaestus to take a wedge and split open Zeus's skull. Out of the skull sprang Athena, fully grown and in a full set of armour. Due to the way of her birth, she became the goddess of intelligence and wisdom

@AimeeMaroux@mythology@antiquidons Just for the record, I can confirm that this medal, much like the recent gold Stater you posted, is NOT in my collection 😀
