Some incredible stuff from various fan communities out there these days. Mario Builder 64 is essentially a Mario Maker type game for Super Mario 64 that even allows you to download levels other people have made.
So many really talented folks out there, I hope it doesn't die an early cease-and-desist death from Big N.
Perhaps one of the most inventive ROM hacks I've seen, which sounds really simple but has all sorts of interesting implications. What if we gave Mario in Mario 64 a shotgun?
@pat Once you do completionist in #mario64 , it's hard to go back. There are definitely some stars that are a pain to get, especially towards the end, but the satisfaction of seeing and doing everything is enough to keep me coming back.
@Roundcat Yes, I will definitely take a break from #mario64 for now. Any suggestions for what to do next? I’ve never completed the Special stages in #SuperMarioWorld, or maybe I should revisit #DK64 and continue the collectathon…
I never owned a Nintendo 64 but some of my fondest gaming memories were playing Super Mario 64 in my neighbor's basement on summer days. Shifting Sand Land sticks out as a level we spent a lot of time in.
