I offer free tutoring in most college level #STEM courses. Can be online, just random questions, video chat, or even in person.
If anyone needs help learning any STEM topic (even you arent in school), please reach out to me I am always happy to help. If I dont know the subject I can also maybe connect you with someone who does, but I am well versed on most of the basics like #Math, #Biology#statistics#BigData#programming#Chemistry#Medicine#ElectricalEngineering and #RF design.
"...of the Mongol Empire, the collapse of the #RussianFederation will be the largest humanity has experienced. (I see the #RF as a reincarnation of the #USSR.)
What happened last weekend?
In my opinion, some conspirators in the #Kremlin were trying to overthrow #Putler. They made a pact with "#YevgenyPrigozhin.
They didn't uphold their part of the bargain, e.g. to "open the gates of #Moscow.
I agree with #TheEconomist, both sides are regrouping.
Ok, so having deleted my Sad Post about the job search I will post a proper #fediHired post now. I am an applied #physicist looking for a job making physical things!
I have experience with #microfabrication and #nanofabrication, overall product design for #manufacturing, machining and mechanical #fabrication and design, #superconducting electronics, #RF circuit design, pcb layout and fabrication, building gas handling systems, building apparatus for commercial fishing, sex toy product development, open source product development with #Arduino, developing #maker curriculum of various kinds, #biomedical imaging systems, and all sorts of random science and robotic systems I've built over the years. I have a phd in applied physics(#Yale '06) and was a math/physics double major(UC #Berkeley '98). I want to help people build real physical things! I'm happy to work in any industry other than defense or software.
Private sector, government, non profit or university, startup or big company, I've got some experience with all these and am interested in working on neat things in whatever context is available. Must be either remote or #Denver/#Boulder/#Golden area, Colorado, USA. Please please please don't tell me about your software job, thank you! If you have a weird scheme that might have freelance work involved that is also great! I like weird schemes!
One set of my hobbies is based around wanting to see the world in different ways. Such as with radio waves...
This time around, I wanted to explore what the local RF spectrum looks like, from 80 Mhz to 6 Ghz, averaged over a period of days.
I realized some of the signal wasn't coming from the antenna, so I did some experiments. #mystery
The bottom graph shows the spectrum with inputs terminated. Ideally I should see flat noise. But when I zoom in, I can see local radio stations. Not ideal.
Front end gain is 72db, so these signals are closer to -100db, which is fairly small. I haven't calibrated to dbm yet.
The top graph is the same, but with the radio wrapped in metal foil. The radio stations go away. This is much better, but some peaks remain.
Data collected and processed with python, #gnuradio, and #numpy / matplotlib. 56Mhz of bandwidth is recorded (RT priority) for a day or two per run. Outliers are removed > 3* stddev. Each data set is then rendered at 1khz resolution. #SDR#RF
