She talked to organizers, competitors, stable owners and young cowgirls about riding, representation, and the pride they feel in Beyoncé's new country album. “Now, she’s finally kicking down the door, whether they like it or not,” says Carolyn Carter, a 65-year-old cowgirl whose daughters, granddaughters and great-granddaughters all compete in rodeo.
This is our granddaughter many years ago at a rodeo. She is our first grandchild and she will be the first to get married in a few weeks. How time flies.
I have an old, black down vest that I wear in the fall and winter for yard work, etc. It's got holes in it and for a few years when I was building houses, I was just too busy and tired to care so I covered the holes with black duct tape :o)
But now is a different time, and I'm on Etsy looking for iron-on patches! I don't think I'll ever throw it away so who knows how many patches I'll end up with ☺️

Some horses are bred to buck, others, that is just their nature, about 40%. Knew a horse like that. Sweetheart. but on the trail he got so excited, & bucked like crazy.
