Boeing’s production delays are worsening a shortage of single-aisle jets that form the backbone of commercial air travel. https://www.japantimes.co.jp/business/2024/03/18/companies/boeing-pain-travelers-airlines-plans/ #business #companies #airlines #boeing #aviation #unitedairlines #southwestairlines #ryanair

I don’t understand how people dare fly these days. Between the pilots with the Covid brain damage, the shortage of air traffic controllers meaning they are all overworked, the article that explained that airport check-in areas are dirtier than a public toilet, and the trashy planes that are falling apart because Boeing didn’t think it was worth it to buy the good bolts because it would cut into their profits.

Another flight forced to divert

A United Airlines flight traveling from San Francisco en route Mexico City was forced to divert to Los Angeles on Friday, marking the fourth time this week that the legacy carrier experienced an emergency in the air. The Friday diversion happened due to a problem with the aircraft's hydraulic system. Other incidents this week included a tire falling off a plane and an engine catching on fire.

After complaining twice to about travel issues I had on my way back, I managed to initially get back $200 and then another $100 in electronic travel certificates. Although I am unsure if I ever want to flight with them again, getting back 1/3 of the ticket is at least something. You should always file complaint when airlines very obviously fail at meeting their obligations.

United Airlines’ patience with Boeing is maxed out after repeated safety issues

Is this the beginning of the end for a company more interested in profits than their passengers safety?

So now, back at it and flying back though Denver back to DC.

@vga256 Well… See my “Don’t be that guy” previous post from yesterday… but yeah, I’ve been through worse. I’m just severely disappointed with supervisor handling of the circumstances on flight UA2667 yesterday.
