@vruz I'm not going to use the word 'agenda' cos it's a bit too conspiratorial for me, but I think they'd decided pre-game that Nunez would be the major talking point. Then they didn't have to ability to change on-the-fly as the game developed.

The timing of this Endo signing is... unfortunate. If we'd snagged him with a week to go in the window after bagging Lavia/Doucoure we'd be patting each other on the back.

Having played in the EPL already is a huge boost to settling into a new squad.

Mac Allister looks so silky smooth and comfortable already. Clever touches to create space and relieve pressure and lovely passes into dangerous positions.

Szoboszlai looks like he's not quite found the rhythm yet. Glimpses of it, but inconsistent in his positioning and reading of the moment.

@mlawton I was trying to follow MacAllister all half. He seems to be good at both finding space and letting the space find him (if that makes sense). He also looks like he can read the game very well. He already looks a good fit for how the team plays.

I agree with you about szobo too. Once he gets used to the style of play he'll be far better.

My local health centre has to employ a security guard to stop parents from the local primary school from parking in the car park at the start and end of the school day.

Finally finished watching . A few thoughts (1/2):

  1. Bobby scoring in his final home outing ❤️
  2. Villa’s defense was excellent, clogging up passing lanes and cleaning up all the second balls
  3. really struggled to break through the 5 in the back (and really 7 at times with that high line almost into the 2 midfielders)
  4. Diaz struggled for the second game in a row. Hard to get back to game fitness.
  5. could have won, the PK miss was huge.

Call me horrible, but I find Martin Tyler and Jim Beglin having to call matches when they're winning comfortably to be absolutely delicious. Both seem to resent every second of it. I love it.

@mlawton I mostly listen to R5 commentary and it's excellent. Maybe because they have to describe more, but the enthusiasm always comes through. Tyler sounds like it's a chore to be there.

We don't talk enough about Alisson's value in seeing the whole field. His driven ball over the top to set up the first goal was really the first crack in the foundation that was Leicester's structure and discipline.
