FYI: suspended about a dozen new crypto spam accounts to keep this servers timeline clean.

The one's I'm seeing now were on Mastodon.world - and clearly migrated there after being moderated away at Mastodon.social.

This is an issue for all admins, not just Mastodon.social and good that we all manage/block/nuke this together.

All part and parcel with the Fediverse getting bigger, now it's a target for junk like this. Still FAR better resilliance here than Twitter.

Fed rate hikes aren't simply a dial that controls inflation.

They're more like a Rube Goldberg machine—slowing the economy so much that workers lose jobs and pay until (maybe, just maybe) prices drop.

This is a bad way to fight inflation that's largely driven by price gouging.

On a different topic, I am 90 days out from Medicare kicking in and I swear the medical system is determined to suck as much out of my bank account before then as possible. As much as I appreciate the ACA, there is a real need to cut the costs to people who are on exchange policies. My 600/mo premium is enhanced with another 200/mo in rx copays and then copays for every goddamn thing in between. Employer insurance is waaaay better than the exchange version and it shouldn’t be.

There's been a lot of spilled pixels, but I guess all-in-all, I just want the Internet — the Web, especially — back. I want "app" to mean "application," not "platform." I want links, not embeds. I want writing, art, and code to flourish, not "content." I want 10 MB on my janky little ISP to call my own, not "cloud-scale." I want to copy and paste my own stuff, not "export" it. I want one-off cgi-bin weirdnesses, not monolithic frameworks.
