I quit Twitter and moved to Mastodon in October 2022 when Elon Musk took over. Many other academics also came to Mastodon, and I was very happy - see my pinned posts. But most of them later became inactive.

I stick around because I've decided that corporate-owned social media are dangerous - especially now, when authoritarians are spreading their reach. Turns out it's unrealistic to expect that most academics feel this way - yet. They may get the idea when it's too late.

Znów o reklamach w TV 🙂

TVP1, przed chwilą, przed 14: nie liczyłem ile byli reklam w jednym bloku w sumie, ale zawierał on 3 reklamy i aż 4 reklamy .

Tak kochani, aż cztery spoty dla tylko jednej marki!

Ja myślę że takie podejście to wielka zachłanność i megalomania. A Wy co sądzicie?

Maciej Wilk podsumowuje wyniki polskich partii w wyborach do Parlamentu Europejskiego:

  • Koalicja Obywatelska nie zjadła przystawek, tylko wyborcy przystawek zostali w domach
  • 3,3 mln (44%) wyborców PiS nie poszło do urn
  • 2,5 mln (38%) wyborców KO nie poszło do urn
  • Spośród wyborców Lewicy z X.2023 głos na tę partię powtórnie oddało 23%. 12% zagłosowało na KO, a 61% zostało w domu
  • Spośród wyborców Trzeciej Drogi z X.2023 głos na tę partię powtórnie oddało 17%. 14% zagłosowało na KO, a 60% zostało w domu
  • Konfederacja odebrała 250 tys. wyborców PiSowi, 110 tys. wyborców 3Drodze oraz 85 tys. KO

Ktoś pytał o ludzi głosujących na Kamińskiego i Wąsika?

Zapraszam do siebie 🤡

Brańsk, woj. podlaskie, 2843 uprawnionych do głosowania, 1157 głosowało.

67% głosowało na PiS.

31,2% z nich - na Wąsika.

Inaczej mówiąc, na samego Wąsika głosowało 20,66% Brańska.

W ościennych wioskach te odsetki są jeszcze wyższe.

If you could watch an individual water molecule, about once in 10 hours you'd see it do this!

As it bounces around, every so often it hits another water molecule hard enough enough for one to steal a hydrogen nucleus - that is, a proton - from the other!

The water molecule with the missing proton is called a hydroxide ion, OH⁻. The one with an extra proton is called a hydronium ion, H₃O⁺.

This process is called the 'autoionization' of water. Thanks to this, roughly one in ten million molecules in a glass of water are actually OH⁻ or H₃O⁺, not the H₂O you expect.

And this gives a cool way for protons to move through water. Let's watch it!

Kurwa ledwo zdążyłem na wyniki wyborów XD

Ale szok kurde, KO wygrywa pierwsze od 9 lat (tak, wiem, 15 X, ale to było w ujęciu szerszej koalicji, ale licząc partie pojedynczo wygrał PiS 🤪), a Trzecia Droga tylko jakieś 8,6%????????????

BTW stacje TV pokazują karuzele z info kto wszedł, a kto (prawdopodobnie) nie... i Kamiński i Wąsik weszli 🤦‍♂️

W ogóle większość kanałów TVP - ups, przepraszam, USP Zdrowie TV - wyświetla dziś pod logo flagę UE z powodu .

Jedynie TVP ABC nie ma flagi, bo ma własne "specjalne" logo, a TVP Sport odlicza do Euro.

Aaa w TVP ABC też się rozpycha łokciami 🤡
