@Catawu 100k people showed up to vote against Biden's policy towards Palestine; they went out of their way to show their disapproval, and overall, less Democrats showed up to vote in the primary than Republicans; that's the reality here; if his policy towards Israel doesn't change, he's toast; the cable news framing of it is irrelevant.
The attraction to authoritarian personalities stems from deep rooted sense of insecurity, lack of self-worth, which leads to a fearful sense of constant powerlessness. The only way they feel safe in their inadequacies is if they can be near those who cast the illusion of power. Those who can get away with crimes, become their heroes because that is is power against the system they feel helpless to defeat or belong as part of.

She headed her department for 6 yrs. The business was expanding. The company went to hire an assistant for her (she had a secretary). She happened to be coming into work, headed to her department, when a man asked her where the office was that he had to interview. She told him. She’s a friend of mine, recently retired. There was a time, a long time ago, when both parties worked together to make better legislation, to make it so the country could move forward. Now, Republicans have made it their mission to sabotage everything: the economy, education, the infrastructure, environment, and health & wellbeing… because to them, destruction is a sign of power. They cannot be rehabilitated, they must be voted out, everywhere at every level. Damage is their mission.

we all agree with the outcome of restoring and protecting human rights for women, and anything that serves it.
I'd suggest re-evaluating the testosterone boogeyman. that is a red herring, and villifying it has implications for trans people as well as cis criminals.

The case against Fani Willis was built on unsupported allegations that had she not countered them, would possibly have given the ‘appearance’ of Conflict of Interest. I suspect that is what they were going for. She blew them and that out of the water, and with that, some law licenses might be up for review at the end of this muddy road. To rephrase a caution: “When you come for the Queen, you better not miss.” They missed. Now, they have to duck.

Cats need a job.
When we lost the older cat to a coyote, the younger cat became depressed. After a month, we brought in a kitten. She resented him, he adored her. She made her job to train him. She’s more active now than ever before. They both gang up on me when it’s time for treats (my medication, their treats same time because cats never let you forget). Now around bedtime, they herd me into bed. And then tear up the house in zoomies mode for 2 more hours. Employed cats are different.
Fani, by showing up instead of making them jump through hoops and present evidence (which they don’t have), is showing them A: She’s not afraid of them and can curbstomp them from the stand. B: Takes away their months of planned smears against her/office with unproven allegations.
The downside for the defense: I suspect they were not prepared for her to call their bluff. They will all be facing possible sanctions for bringing a case that has no basis in evidence or fact.
They took bigger risks by demanding she respond, not expecting she would, and it showed in their asking/reasking the same questions, despite warnings from the bench. Tells me they were unprepared, flatfooted, and have no real end game that can do anything but crush them under the weight of their own hubris.
