I'm convinced Jessica Fletcher is in a female-led triad with Doc and Amos.

Doc provides her with the intellectual stimulation (and cooking skills) she needs while Amos does stuff around the house (which she lives in ALONE) -- not to mention lets her solve all the murders in town.

Doc and Jessica travel together; he comes over to cook dinner regularly; they have a standing chess game.

Amos is always calling up Jessica for help on all the murders; he notices when things need to be fixed around her old Victorian (like the storm windows); and he's always there when Jessica has a killer cornered.

It's a functional triad!

Good on Jessica. Frank would be proud.

So night terrors, sleep paralysis etc. seem to be a real thing. I've had "bad dreams" but never anything that sounds like these experiences. It sounds like it's scary. Scary like when you are home alone and hear a sound and don't know what it is.

I'm curious if people who can have this are can be aware that it's not real when it's happening.

When I get anxious I can also know "this is just that thing" and I'm sort of detached about it?

Can that happen with fear?

I've had sleep paralysis a handful of times and I haaaaate it.

The worst for me is when it's time for my body to shut down for sleep and I'm still partially conscious during the process. I absolutely know what's happening but it still freaks me out while I struggle to pull myself out and start all over.

I can see why folks thought this was 'being possessed'. It's really disorienting to feel your body and your brain are on two different tracks, and be aware of that.

Sciatica is better in the mornings and killer by the time I wrap my day.

I'm trying to find the right combo of exercises. Flossing the nerve helps a lot, but I need to find a way to stretch the piriformis and the iliacus.

Basically, this whole situation is going to take a while.
