How did one color correct pre-digital? One reason I shot little color. Every roll, every shoot (models) were important to me, and I wanted to avoid disasters. So I shot Tri-X 400, always. Self-taught. Pre-internet when I began.

Of course, when you have babies, one is more careful. I never cared about the BIG owl that perched on a bare pine branch in the front yard until it swooped down and tried to carry my puppy off one night. Early 2000s.

One night, I was walking Sugar (RIP) in front of the duplex where I lived. I felt a rush of air on my ear annd saw a blur as the owl flew up and away after missing or deciding not to grab my girl mid-back. She was wearing a leash. The landlord came out a few days later and sawed off the horizontal branch remnants on the pines in the yard. Never saw the owl again. My heart beats fast remembering that.

    📷 I was accused of bad behavior here today. Instead of reacting immediately, I took a few minutes to think about it under the shade tree in the back yard and clearing skies.

    "Twitmo" is user slang for being suspended temporarily from Twitter; a mash-up of Twitter and "Gitmo" (the post-9/11 US prison camp in Cuba).

    I was suspended permanently from Twitter for a post about Musk that was well within TOS. It was revenge, and within 8 minutes of posting. Best thing that ever happened to me. I'm home in the Fediverse, and here @ mstdn.social.
