There's a thing called Linux Magazine which is, as the name suggests, a Linux magazine issued online and on paper. They also produce Polish version of it (i.e. they translate articles to our language). Pretty niche thing, but popped on my radar somehow.
In the latest issue they discuss fediverse a lot. So I bought it to see what's in there.
And I was positively surprised to see some interesting picks on the list of 'selected Mastodon instances'.

After #Streaming#dredge yesterday night I've come to think I need a "swearing jar" on my #Twitch channel. I don't like to swear usually but sometimes the game draws out a curse or two. Or six, like yesterday :cat_cry:
OMG I hate this update. WTF is this??? My desktop app is a MESS????? I want the desktop app to be BETTER than the mobile app, not the same clunky, oversized, takes way too many clicks to get anywhere bullshit???
@harrybo93@lukem@thegamerstavern You can can multi-stream, however as soon as you become a Twitch Affiliate, youโre no longer allowed to stream at the same time on services Twitch considers a competitor (YouTube, Facebook, etc.).
Also worth knowing that once youโre a Twitch Affiliate, they have a 24 hour exclusivity period on any content that was streamed to Twitch. So VODs and Clips arenโt allowed on other platforms until after that 24 hour period is up.
#Today I have once again a day filled to brim with meetings. It starts with one, then a meeting to discuss what was told in the previous meeting. Then, an hour maximum of work drawing diagrams and sequences, once again a meeting to explain them. Rinse and repeat.
I'm afraid #AI will never replace us in this enshittification horror show.
Before starting, I also have to take the car to the mechanic for scheduled checking, hence even the car has a scheduled meeting :cat_uwu:
One of the things that drew me to this particular instance is the fact that #alt text is mentioned in the rules, and I'm seeing the effect of it even in my short time here. So much #game related content tends to go right by me because it's screenshots, or memes based on some kind of visual thing that isn't described and literally every image I have seen so far has good, well-written alt text. It's seriously appreciated, all of you #thanks#gratitude
@zersiax Previous to joining Mastodon, I didnโt really care about alt text and didnโt understand the impact it has not writing it. Now I try to ensure I write alt text on every photo I upload, however I think I can still do better at my image explanations.
@gary_bbgames In theory, yes! Iโll have to see how it is over time, but it had very good reviews so Iโm hoping itโll be as convenient as it looks.
