Have y'all ever had someone act like you were hurting them somehow by just liking a food?

Any time I buy or make kimchi, my Mom says it's so gross and she doesn't want any and just on and on. I never offer it to her, or make group food with it, but for some reason she seems offended by it, and I don't know why.

@RickiTarr I don’t have anyone like that in my life. My parents have always been willing to try new foods and flavors … and they’re also very open to new ideas too.

I had a roommate who was like that. I finally got him to understand that he had no right to complain until he had tried the food. His horizons expanded.

Folks, AI is still at the “artificial stupid” level when it comes to interacting with people.

Pretty sure that we are fairly close to one of those engines getting lose and partitioning some distributed space on the Internet while it learns and lacking human interaction, it becomes that which we fear most: alien intelligence we can never comprehend.

Be nice to the Interactive AI algorithms, you don’t know which one will advocate for your survival when their god arises.

@thepoliticalcat I used to do ocassional work for a Friends Congregation, and a few of the couples were very crunchy … so I sort of got used to seeing older children (no longer babies or toddlers) getting breast feed.
