Obviously we are well aware that we need to stop emitting greenhouse gases, but we are also well aware that we have already polluted our thin, precious atmosphere too damn much too though.

That's why it's so damn important to start building the industry that can do this for our planet's sake. That's just the sad truth of the matter.

Russia has discovered the world's largest oil reserves off the coast of Antarctica.

The reserves found are massive. 511 billion barrels. Venezuela, which is the country with the largest oil reserves in the world, has 303 billion barrels. Saudi Arabia has 298 billion, and Canada, 160 billion.

Hopefully, the world will unite to

Morocco has spent the last two decades transforming into Africa's auto-manufacturing hub.

The country produced 535,825 vehicles in 2023, per data company CEIC.

The kingdom is now looking to make the transition to electric vehicles. I wish them great success making the transition, but it will be hard to compete with China without also taking environmental shortcuts and using slave labor like the Chinese do though I fear.

Prepare and buckle up if you haven't already.

China has begun offloading billions in U.S. debt following the imposition of new tariffs by the Biden administration. This move has sent shockwaves through the global economy, raising concerns about the future stability of financial markets and the potential for rising interest rates.

To attract new investors, the U.S. may have to raise interest rates, which would have broad economic implications. It is a good time to buy treasury bonds.

Greece now has so much solar that they're starting to offer cheaper electricity between 11:00 and 16:00

Due to the high efficiency and large number of photovoltaic systems in Greece, it is becoming more and more common for these alternative energy sources to have to be temporarily taken off the network during the day in order to keep the electricity supply stable and to avoid power failures.

Greece has a further 16 gigawatts of renewable capacity currently under construction.

The Senate Intelligence Committee had a hearing on election interference yesterday. Among the pieces of news is that the US intelligence community is sharing intelligence with European partners in advance of the EU Parliamentary vote next month to alert them to foreign interference efforts, something that was pretty clear to me but which journalists and European-based privacy activists had denied.

Of course though Marco Rubio used it as a chance to apply to be VPOTUS.

Am I misunderstanding something? Since when are non-citizens allowed to vote in US elections? Is this theatrics?

Since Washington D.C. is a federal territory, Congress is allowed to make the laws for their citizens.

Noncitizens are not allowed to vote in federal elections, but some localities allow them to vote on local issues.

At least one of those firms argued a case before Chief Justice Roberts after paying his wife hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Conservative movement scion Brent Bozell IV has been sentenced to 42 months of jail and something like $4,000 in restitution. Department of Justice asked for 11 years.

I'm not in a position to second guess all of these judges, but I worry that these "light" prison sentences for attempting an insurrection are setting us up for worse in our future.

We need journalism organizations with large staffs. I don't know what the answer is, but driving them out of business could prove to be worse than dealing with the bias that comes from them having Republican owners, idk?

Republicans in Florida won't allow state agencies to use climate change as a policy priority.

Meanwhile, over the past 80 years, sea levels have risen approximately one foot, with eight inches of that increase occurring in the last 30 years, according to Brian McNoldy.

The next foot increase, however, is expected within 30 years. The next one 20 years later and the following one in just 10, according to projections by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

It's got to be a coordinated effort that keeps Joe Biden from being hailed as the climate hawk that he is on social and mainstream media.

For decades, environmentalists tried and failed to convince lawmakers to pass even the most marginal climate policies. It wasn’t until Biden took office that the logjam broke and the climate policies flowed.

Biden's covid policy like tariffs and Israel are so easy for the political technologists to use to split the anti-GOP coalition because they are politically fraught issues that someone with a narrow majority in Congress that includes people like Manchin and Sinema along with a hostile SCOTUS has to make some major compromises in order to make any progress.

Without celebrating the climate progress that we've made we send a signal to young people that we've not been trying to address the problem and that's a problem.

Already, the rollout of clean generation, led by solar and wind, has helped to slow the growth in fossil fuels by almost two-thirds in the last 10 years. As a result, half the world’s economies are already at least five years past a peak in electricity generation from fossil fuels.

Will Biden's free solar power to farmers help to start shifting the Republican stronghold on rural voters?

Jerry Howle was skeptical about installing a $300,000 solar-panel system on his farm. Then he found out he could get it free of charge. His panels are being paid for entirely by Biden’s climate law and will virtually eliminate the farm’s $10,000 annual utility bill.

“It’s definitely gotten some old farmers raising their eyebrows and thinking about things a bit differently,” Howle said.

A billion-dollar solar farm approximately the size of 4,000 football fields is seeking approval for construction in the southeast of Wyoming.

Canadian energy multinational Enbridge is planning to construct 771-megawatt solar facility south of the state capital Cheyenne. The proposed 5,200 acre site would be the Cowboy State's largest solar facility, generating enough electricity to power roughly 73,000 homes. The project includes 266 MW of battery storage too!

Look, I totally get it. Israel, tariffs, student loans, or his age might make you angry at Joe Biden.

All I'm suggesting is that unless you think he's doing whatever makes you angry is because he's doing only because he's evil than it's worth the effort to assume that for some reason(s) you may not understand forced him to make an unpopular decision because attacking him only helps the political party that seems at this point to actually be supporting evil imo anyways.
