Please help.

I am looking for the most privacy friendly way to buy ebooks.

Every shop and platform I've looked at would index and sell my purchase and a lot of other information.

I can get my ebooks in different ways but I explicitly want to pay the author for their work without me and my behavior ending up a resell product for which ever platform I use to complete this purchase.

Any ideas?

Ah I had not considered that yet.

Would love a way to directly purchase from authors on a privacy friendly platform.

Seems to me to be the only way to liberate the reading world from big tech.

It's not too hard to imagine some sort of #bookwyrm with purchasing options?

There must be something out there...

Really prefer to pay with money instead of my privacy.

Again, if any one has any ideas?

Neat! I didn't know Leanpub.

Problem with such things is that it's all splintered all over the interwebs. Would be good to have fediverse connected bookstores or something like that.

Like a lot of new technology, the internet had a pretty dubiously perverted start. Lets move on but never forget.

• Leaving a books on a bus.
• Reading a chapter out loud in a train station.
• Sneaking books into the secondhand bookstore.
• Bring a bunch of books on vacation, leave them around the hotel.

Don't know what's wrong, but I suddenly feel so disconnected from my WIP. Like it is no fun anymore. I'm 25k in, and this is usually the place I start to feel truly connected to my MCs. But today? All seems bleak.

Happens to me too. Especially around this time of year. Only thing that works for me is forcing my self into taking a week off in order to reunite after. Never fails to remind me what I like about my MC.
