All of my friends owned a PS1 but I went for the N64 because I wanted to play Mario Kart 64 and nothing else. 😆
I played many PS1 games on my friend's consoles. That way I experienced the birth of fundamental game series like Tekken, Gran Turismo, Silent Hill, Resident Evil or GTA. :underheart:

Did you also have to make a choice for one of the two consoles? Which one did you pick and why? 🤔

@repeatro When I was a Sega Megadrive kid I was convinced that I wanted a Saturn... Then one weekend I borrowed my Uncle's PS1 and Resident Evil 2....

... Never looked back...

Grabbed a quick hour to check out MGS: Twin Snakes on after my impulse purchase the other day. Feels like MGS ported into MGS2 (which I guess is what it is 😅). Fun to see a slightly fresh take on a game that I know so well... And struggle a little too as it plays juuuust slightly differently.

Finished up Tomb Raider ('13) last night... I don't know... The whole braiding Toms thing seemed really secondary. Those little puzzle platform sections worked really well, but mostly it felt like another get to the next marker sort of game. Last third was heavy on set pieces and enemy corridors.

Maybe it's because I've been playing the original, but I kinda wanted more of that quiet puzzle platforming...

    Switched up my commute game now that I've finished PicCross. I've never played much Mario Land 2... Struggling a little with the sliiiigggtlly floaty jumping. Still, I've got like 5 gold coins, and it's called the six gold coins... So I'm basically there I think 😶

    Although it's not entirely practical to untangle myself from big tech, I've been trying to move in the right direction.

    Any suggestions on what I could be using instead of Google Drive? I don't store huge amounts of stuff, but having an easy platform that I can dump files in and out from different devices is really helpful... Possibly even syncing to specific devices??

    When we graduated from an Atari STe to a 486 PC, 4Mb ram, 1mb cirrus logic graphics (iirc) it came with a CD including the shareware versions of Heretic, Descent, Warcraft... And of course Doom... Scared the heck out of me, but I played it so much anyway.

    Returned home after a break away to find this on the doormat. Played the heck out of it on a housemates GameCube years ago, and the PS2 version after that, but couldn't resist adding it to my growing GC collection. Gonna jump back in and see how it holds up.

    sometimes I hate touchscreens so much. one uncontrolled gesture and you lose what you were doing or create other disastrous inputs.

    we've also had them for so long and not solved this issue...

    @hbons I think you should have a universal "scroll column" of dead space that all phone apps respect and shuffle to avoid putting 'buttons' there. I always end up bookmarking things on Tusky, and wishlisting things on Steam whilst scrolling.
