@AimeeMaroux This power metal band called Judicator. Turns out the vocalist is an alt right loser who lurks in forums and DMs people so he can defend himself.
A shame because I really liked one of their albums and wanted to check in on them.
@AimeeMaroux Right? Like he's reading from a script. I feel like I know every move this dude is going make ages before he makes it. Doesn't even realize he makes no sense.
And it's always fun when people pretend to know what they're talking about and very clearly don't. I love an easy win.
We are visiting the #yonic art of Democratic Republic of the Congo today. This carved ivory masango sculpture depicts a standing female figure with small breasts and a prominent pubic triangle.
#WordWeavers 17. Is there a story you'd like to write but aren't sure you can?
Yes. Mostly because I suck at writing novel-length fiction. I have a historical adventure novel first draft on my hard drive and I don't think it will ever get out of editing hell.
I would also love to write more diverse mythologies but I feel like I need a certain amount of background knowledge to really make the world come alive.
After starting the month with 25k words, I did not meet my goal of 75k for #NaNoWriMo. But...I did get to 61k, which is still some damn good progress for one month. What's more, it felt easy.
@AimeeMaroux at a museum in the artist's home town of Terre Haute, Indiana USA. Really nice place actually. A great collection of Hoosier impressionist works other American pieces.
This week's #MythologyMonday theme is work.
Four deities spring to my mind when I think of work: #Demeter, #Hermes, #Hephaistos, and #Athena. #AncientGreece was an agricultural society with 80% of the population being involved in this line of work. In Greek mythology, it was Demeter who invented agriculture but according to Diodorus Siculus she burnt all the grain when her daughter #Persephone vanished out of grief and anger.
