And if you want to post something there are groups that will boost your post if you tag the group such as @writingcommunity
A boost will share a post to your feed, but I think also to the federated timeline where all instance are available. A favourite just saves it so you can go back and look at it later.
Your homefeed shows all the people and hashtags you've followed.
When you create a world, do you also create other worlds in the same system? Do you have solar systems in your fantasy book? How big do you go? How detailed?
