Time to run my horrifying python code that builds a bash script that I use to repeatedly call some fortran code and make output I pull back into python for calculating telescope pointings.

My deepest apologies to everyone here who actually has training in making good software. I'm doing science!

(And no, I'm not looking for advice. Hilariously, this dumpster fire of code works well enough, and I don't need to improve it right now.)

Why aren't Korean rice cakes huge in the US yet? This is a simple, satisfying, not very nutritionally redeemable (so acceptable to Americans), comfort food that's basically pasta but more massive (and made of rice) or the tougher, more awesome cousin of "white bread"

Now that it's possible to make it shelf stable and easy to boil... what is the hang up?

My rule of thumb is if they abhor the idea of wearing a skirt it's just performative bullshit and they're quite insecure.

Gaah: dishwasher just died on me! (There's a touch-sensor control panel and the START button decided to crap out.) As it's 12 years old, and they're designed for 3-5 years' life, I figure it's had enough. (Bosch, FWIW.) Replacement purchased, due to delivery (and removal of the old one) on Thursday. Wallet now lighter because I went for Miele …
