@hirad That may be the case for now but it's probably not going to last. I think their final goal is to completely replace the current desktop offering with a Snap-powered one.
The real issue here is the lack of transparency and possibly user choice. If anything, it's very likely this will be enabled by default and very difficult to opt out of.
I do think this will definitely become an integral part of the "Windows Experience" rather than just being a gimmick, though. It's quite powerful to be able to change system settings or crunch data by just asking Windows Copilot.
Sometimes it's REALLY tough to keep a secret. But now that the secret's out...

Everytime I go on Odysee, the content there seems to drift more and more towards conspiracy theories, complete disinformation and nonsense, or at worst ultra racist / xenophobic / hateful rethoric. The staff has a history of just saying amen to everything, including white supremacist stuff.
I’ve been thinking of abandoning it (I would keep PeerTube as the alternative to YouTube for people who really don’t want to use YT). Out of curiosity, a little poll about my content:
@thelinuxEXP I was a strong supporter of LBRY and Odysee, even going so far as to promote it by creating videos there.
However, I stopped using it a while back. For one, the Odysee frontend itself is no longer guaranteed to remain open source.
They have also begun including ads and tracking users to some extent. At this point, I might as well just use YouTube.
Will Odysee be Open Source? Odysee has chosen to continue to release code in an open- source fashion. However, Odysee is not bound to do this, and does not promise to do this. Source: https://odysee.com/@lbry:3f/lbryandodyseeevolving:7
