I'm excited to share that my poem "Fall on the Campbell River, redux" has been published by the League of Canadian Poets in their chapbook "Splendor of Wings" featuring the works of poets over 65 https://poets.ca/splendor-of-wings/@poets#PoetryCommunity#poetry
@RickiTarr Species took me about three hours to watch because I kept laughing myself into asthma attacks. The prehensile nipple attack scene just about killed me.
This was a fun one, so let's do it again. What is something you've learned that seems unlikely, even though you know it's true? Here's one I think about a lot:
Sight, while being something something many people are born with, is not an innate ability, but something we learn to do. People who were born blind or were blind for a long time, who get sight, have to learn to see.
Have y'all ever had someone act like you were hurting them somehow by just liking a food?
Any time I buy or make kimchi, my Mom says it's so gross and she doesn't want any and just on and on. I never offer it to her, or make group food with it, but for some reason she seems offended by it, and I don't know why.
Seriously heard someone saying they don't listen to many black artists, because they aren't really into rap. Bitch please, feel free to share songs from Black artists from any genre. Here is one of my favorites, if you like this song please check out her other work:
@lilithsaintcrow I flew in a plane last year and the air conditioning wasn’t working. I got really hot, and then the heat made me barf twice. Once into my bag and once into my partner’s.
Today has been incredibly odd, but I got good wordcount in, there's a chance for things to turn out well in the near future, someone else is making dinner, and the kids are excited for movie night.
@RickiTarr I grew up with a collie who had powerful herding instincts. It drove him to distraction that my sister and I liked to play away from one another at opposite ends of the yard.
He always loved it when I told him to go get the chickens. He’d round them up and bring them to me. He got pretty mad at me the first time I took him to the beach. There was a flock of seagulls out on a sandbar. I told him to go get the chickens and he ran down to round them up for me. He was unimpressed when they all flew away. He never fell for that trick again.
