@michelestrider@RickiTarr Amen. Even at the time this was released it was ignored because she was Joan. If she's a skinny Brit boy with a synth band, this gets serious chart action. The lyrics would be ironic as hell that way too.

@RickiTarr One of the greatest things America has ever given to the world is “Black” music. Davis, Coltrane, Parker, etc. are worshipped in France, Japan, and pretty much everywhere else in Earth. Where would we be without Redding, Simone, Pickett, or a hundred others. Give me a tiny break. Anyway, this will always be the most beautiful song ever for me.
