Trying out a simulated vacation Polaroid for something a little different. Uninspired scene, crappy weather, sketchy film, probably stuffed in a pocket and forgotten about. Lemme know if this brings back memories. Or if it looks too fake to bring back memories. 😁
@SirNameless_1 "Geoff, you were sent here today to start me on a path that in three years will see me in a cabin in the woods living on nuts, berries, and my own beard."
I’m generally not one to call for banning things, but I have just a few little ban requests:
Private jets that belong to people who fly in them to climate conferences
Twelve foot (3.66 m) tall decorative plastic skeletons (previous pleas have fallen upon deaf ears). Can we at least limit it to one per family? Is that too much to ask?
The expansion of inflatable lawn ornaments into additional holidays
@SirNameless_1 What did maple trees ever do to the Halloween marketing teams to deserve this? These trees give us MAPLE SYRUP for our pancakes for God's sake.
Craggy old Oak trees are far more scary and acorns wreak havoc well into the fall months. #Advertising#fail
Something occurred to me the other day that’s a bit painful to admit, but I’ll admit it anyway and maybe you’ll understand why I brand myself as a perpetual social media idiot, I mean, amateur.
As a “professional knowledge worker” (ick, seriously) I have long embraced the practice of Inbox (near) Zero, which means ideally you clarify the meaning of each item that comes into your world and take appropriate action on it, and not leave a bunch of unaddressed “things” lying around that will bite you in the ass later. That’s all well and good and useful for living in this fire hose orgy that is modern life, until you bring that attitude to your social media feed. Then something that’s supposed to be fun turns into another chore. I realized I was subconsciously putting pressure on myself to make sure I had my feed covered while also not expecting anyone to treat my drivel as particularly important. Pretty stupid, ain’t it? 😆
My first and only photo taken and processed in 2024. I’d add the caveat “so far” but I hope that goes without saying. Or not. Life is like that sometimes. Like now. And also, one reason why I like #monochromePhotography so much.
