Another profusion of tall and colorful wildflowers in my wildflower patch (from a different angle): yellow black-eyed susans, yellow chamomile, blue cornflowers, purple coneflowers, grey head coneflowers, yellow prairie coneflowers, prince’s plume, purple larkspur way in the back, and more… plus lots of greenery from their leaves.

A nice selection of wildflowers on today’s hike: golden grasses, St. John’s wort, prickly pear cactus, and my favorite patch of blanket flowers. 🌾🌼🌵

The flower clusters are in various stages of bloom, some fully open, others fading. Green grasses and leaves from other ground plants in the background.

My favorite patch of yellowish-orange blanket flowers, some flowers still blooming string, while others have faded to just their central, puffball seed head. My property used to have an orchard of apple and pear trees. It was neglected and left to go wild for decades, some of these trees are over 120 years old.

The fruits from my "orchard" aren't great because it's basically a forest plus lots of fruit trees now, not pristinely cultivated like it once was. I collect some every year for pies and applesauce anyway, but I mostly love how it attracts all kinds of wildlife. There is something truly special in watching a landscape rewild itself naturally.

An analog clock made out of an old metal colander, with decorative red hands, and little spheres spaced at each hour. The clock is mounted at the top of a background display board covered in a collage of old garden images and garden seed packets with pictures of fruits and vegetables on them. An overall fun and rustic piece of artwork.
Fantastic glass, bowl-shaped sculptures catching the rays of the mid-morning sun. The front-most sculpture is a giant bowl made out of individual glass pieces that look like partially-melted ice cubes in shades of light blue all glued together to form the broad bowl. It is sitting on a mirror-topped pillar. Made of smooth, polished grey and black stone, this bird sculpture with a long, black beak is looking up toward the sky. There are two stone eggs under its body. The sculpture is sitting on a small pillar out in the sun, and there are flowers in a brick-lined garden bed behind the sculpture.
These artworks made of hand-cut and hand-painted wooden blocks of different sizes, shapes, and colors hang in vertical columns like beads on a string. Each individual piece is unique, and no two columns are the same. Some blocks have letters on them, others have words of inspiration or encouragement, some are shapes like cubes and spheres, some are painted brightly. All together they hang like a 3D shower curtain made of wooden pieces.
This photo is made of two images overlayed together from a art display of rainbow-colored garden flags with various block prints on each flag. Some flags are printed with hand-made images of garden veggies, or bees, or flowers. Other flags have sayings of encouragement or inspiration on them. Individual flags are strung together horizontally on a string to kinda form a rainbow banner.
