Google Pay is Dead, Long Live Google Pay

The gist: Android phones come with Google Wallet where you can load up tickets and payment, loyalty, & transit cards to use w/contactless or barcode readers. In the US, you also get the GPay/Google Pay app where you can do peer-to-peer payments and link your bank account(s) to see insights. This was going to be Google’s bank offering before that fell through. They’re shuttering the latter to focus on Wallet.

The resistance to distros switching to wayland-only or wayland-default has been framed as being mainly about nvidia not getting with the program. But today I learned that screen readers just plain don't work on wayland? https://github.com/xkbcommon/libxkbcommon/issues/425

Has bluesky ever changed their stance on "FUCK the fediverse we're making our OWN fediverse HAHA!!!" bullshit?

Because love or hate , it seems to have instantly made bluesky irrelevant outside of being a tiny instance of already famous people.

I don't see how they go from here without at least leveraging mastodon. They needed to go public a minimum of 1 month ago if they wanted a chance with a walled garden.

Was getting out of the shower and started shaking out my hair... as do. For a while now, I keep my neck straight and shake my shoulders, pivoting at the hip. My lower back has been fucked so the quick reaction was to shake my head at the neck.
Is it time to recognize I'm aging or should I just grab a morning beer and crank up the ? Oh that's right, I'm not drinking these days either.
