👎 hearing colleagues talk about forgetting a mask while traveling and now having a "slight sore throat"...and they're all in-person, unmasked, and you're the only person that talks to them about the importance of masking. Really wonderful stuff.

@dave yup those are common ones both my partner and I use! A few people have been actually receptive (even just situationally, ex: airport) and one person even started again in most situations because they realized their actions were incongruent with their ethics!!! That one was a huge win. But very much a lead by example, teach through story type of situation. - and I try to remind myself of these small wins, they make a difference, they just take time.

This weekend! & people! The NAACP Boulder County Branch is hosting their annual Freedom Fund event on 2/18! This year it will feature speaker Anthony Ray Hinton telling his story of surviving nearly 30 years on death row for a crime he didn't commit! It should be a very powerful & moving event!

Like, we are all kinda internet people to a degree, we don't really know a full picture of anymore else behind an account (I'd argue it is similar IRL, but more apparent online). But it is genuinely nice to hear someone report that they did something, made something, got through something hard, laughed, had a moment of peace, felt human, tried something new, etc.

    @dave I hope for better too. I refuse to belive it is just going to get me when I know I can lower my risk. Taking even small steps is better than none at all.
