On 28 February 2024, the KDE project released Plasma 6, a rock-solid release with sensible changes. We have integrated Plasma 6 into TUXEDO OS for you over several weeks and tested it extensively so that it now acts as the updated desktop environment for TUXEDO OS.

@tuxedocomputers Danke für die Dokumentation. Die Installation auf meinem InfinityBook lief reibungslos.

Leider hat Wayland noch zu Problemen geführt und ich musste auf X11 umstellen und die Trackpad-Scrollrichtung musste neu auf natürlich gesetzt werden. Ansonsten lief bisher alles rund.

    Es gibt immer noch zwei Spuren, auf denen Autos fahren können. Lieferdienste usw. halten dann einfach auf der dafür vorgesehenen Spur.

    Das Halten auf Radwegen ist bereits jetzt nicht erlaubt. Im Verkehr werden Radfahrer übrigens mitgezählt.

    Die Blockade des Klimaschutzgesetzes muss beendet werden! Sonst müssten wir 22 Mio. t CO2 dieses Jahr einsparen – das tritt uns alle. Das erreichen wir nicht mit einem Tempolimit o.ä., sondern nur mit Verzicht auf Auto & LKW. "Es wäre kaum zu vermitteln, dass für diese CO2-Reduktion nötig wären, obwohl wir die Klimaschutzziele in der Gesamtbetrachtung erreichen", so Wissing. Klimaschutz betrifft alle Bereiche. Deshalb hat die Regierung 2023 die Weiterentwicklung des KSG beschlossen.

    Ihr habt euch bis jetzt gegen alle sinnvollen Maßnahmen gestellt. Selbst wenn es nicht ausreichen würde, hättet ihr wenigstens das Mögliche umsetzen können. Kommt jetzt nicht an und schiebt die Verantwortung von euch weg. Hättet ihr euren Teil getan und es wäre aufgefallen, dass noch etwas fehlt, hätte man leicht in anderen Sektoren nach Ausgleichsmöglichkeiten suchen können. Ihr verlangt jetzt quasi, dass man euch alles abnimmt. Macht eure Arbeit!

    No, we use the native Proton Calendar app for iOS.

    I created a few calendars for family stuff and shared them with my family.

    Using the Proton Calendar iOS app with their accounts, they can not create events in the shared calendar. They can only do that using the Proton Calendar web app.

    @protonprivacy 1Password has a cool feature showing which of the accounts saved in the manager has support for passkeys. I think there is a list on passkeys.com, maybe an API. It would be a cool addition to Proton Pass. The same goes for 2FA (but I don’t know how 1Password does it). I really liked the security tab on 1Password showing these things and password warnings for breached or weak passwords.

    Gute Arbeitsbedingungen sind das falsche Signal? Die Fachkräfte, die wir brauchen, bleiben jetzt bestimmt erst recht weg. Nein! Das falsche Signal sind die Millionen, die sich der Vorstand einbehält und dann gegen faire Vergütung und mit Freizeit vereinbare Arbeitszeiten argumentiert.

    @bsi Wie funktioniert die Plausibilitätsprüfung? Da die Antragsstellende Partei die Überprüfung selbst vornehmen kann, wie wird da verhindert, dass Falschaussagen gemacht werden?

    Darüberhinaus garantiert eine sichere Architektur noch keinen sicheren Code.

    Auch bei der Überprüfung durch die Marktaufsicht wird kein Source Code gecheckt. Es wird lediglich gehofft, dass Sicherheitsforscher nach Schwachstellen suchen und an das BSI melden (https://www.bsi.bund.de/SharedDocs/Downloads/DE/BSI/Zertifizierung/VB-MA_IT-SiK.pdf?__blob=publicationFile&v=4).

    @bsi Vielen Dank für die Antworten. Ich weiß es wirklich zu schätzen, dass Sie hier aktiv sind und sich Zeit für Fragen nehmen.

    Gibt es Vorgaben/einen Plan, wie oft solche Überprüfungen pro Produkt stattfinden sollen? Ich kann mir vorstellen, dass die Prüfungen einen enormen Aufwand für das BSI bedeuten, vor allem bei steigender Produktanzahl.

    @bsi Dankeschön. Gab oder gibt es Überlegungen, wie Freie und Open Source Software in diesem Prüfsystem Platz finden kann? Solche Eigenprüfungen sind sicherlich mit einem finanziellen und zeitlichen Aufwand verbunden, den sich nicht alle FOSS-Projekte leisten können. Ich würde es schade finden, wenn Behörden, Unternehmen und Privatanwender proprietäre Lösungen freier und Open Source Software vorziehen würden, weil das Siegel aus Kostengründen fehlt.

    Um das Backup aus der Cloud zu holen, muss man sich zuvor bei der Cloud (mittels Passwort) anmelden. Der Schlüssel für das Backup wird in der Regel lokal über das Passwort (oder einen Teil davon) abgeleitet.

    @heiseonline WTF, der Rundfunkbeitrag ist dafür da, die Vergütung von "Kulturschaffenden" staatlich und wirtschaftlich unabhängig zu ermöglichen und damit den freien Zugang zu politisch unabhängigen Informationen und Unterhaltung sicherzustellen. Durch CC wird die gemeinwohlorientierte Verwertung der Inhalte ermöglicht. Klar kann sich auch Google diese Inhalte zu Nutze machen, aber dank des Rundfunkbeitrags wird die Finanzierung der Inhalte des ÖRRs nicht angegriffen.

    Scareware: Wie der Name schon verrät, soll diese Masche von Cyberkriminellen Angst machen. 😱 Beispielsweise via Pop-up-Fenster im Browser, das euch über einen Virus auf eurem Gerät informiert – inklusive passendem Antivirenprogramm im Gepäck. 🤔

    Drittanbieter-Antivirus ist oft invasiv und die Betriebssysteme haben eigenen Schutz integriert (Windows Defender).
    Wenn überhaupt dann für Windows und Linux (deb, rpm).

    Thunderbird is one of the most important apps for me, as it is the (perceived) only email client that meets my needs and is easy to use at the same time. I hope for an iOS/iPad OS client and look forward to the further development of the Android and desktop (Linux) apps.

    So thank you Thunderbird team, for making the coolest cross-platform free and open source email client.
