I really love haunted houses. First, I've been in a old one when I was younger and I had the chance to know some old houses here in this country. Sadly most of them are now demolished, gone forever... wish to be rich and buy one for me...

@wouldinotcallmyselfahumanbeing There are some interesting things I learned from that book, at least from the first pages. Apparently he had no trauma or some desperate emotions, but as far as we know, he really understood the fear of the man, so he took advantage of that to reveal some stories to make us to feel related to such fears.

I really love Shirley Jackson's book: "The Haunting of Hill House". It deals with my main interest in my life: haunted houses. Same way with Lovecraft, Bulwer-Lytton and Hogdson by now. I wanna read more stories like that!

Question:
I still buy and play in year 2023, and obviously I look for another player, maybe from the 80's or 90's. But I wonder now: are they still compatible for the latest CD editions with more than 70mins? or should buy a newer device?

@jnv @galley That's the point! I wonder that, because of the mechanic design on old players may not reach the last tracks. Most first editions of old CDs are around 45mins. But now because of CD technology, artists wants to put more songs (I have one Japanese artist who made all her albums with 15 or 16 songs each)
I use a SONY CD player, year 2004. And no problems. My intention is to have one component design to put with the rest of my system, so the older ones are the best. But..

Found a new book at the local bookstore. Satoshi Yagisawa's "Days at Morisaki Books" (in Spanish) seems to be about the comfort reading and the life of a lonely woman. I wanna read it soon. In my wishlist now!

I'm still irritated with the horrible mistake from Fontana edition's.

I was digging inside old/used books stores earlier...
I felt myself sorrounded by many ghosts from those old books. Yes, sometimes may be creepy but at same time was so pleasant. Reminds me of Shion Miura's words about those old books.
