I hate how whenever US liberals defend immigrants they have to say how hard working they are. I just want it to be known that I support immigrants who are just as lazy, if not even lazier, than me.

@rebeccawatson That line of reasoning has bothered me ever since I made the mental change to stop believing in the concept of laziness entirely. There is simply no human-first, compassionate way to intrinsically tie a person's productivity to their value as a human life

The Beyonce/Country music discourse is kind of strange to me. Maybe I've always had a weird relationship with music but the lines between genres have always been exceptionally blurry and tenuous, if extant at all, to me.

It has genuinely baffled me for years (and gotten me a lot of weird looks) that people who love hiphop and appreciate it musically on both a technical and emotional level do not also feel the same way about (Black?Death?Hardcore?) metal music (Lorna Shore, Paleface, Poolside at Flamingos) because they are very very similar to me in most ways.

I don't know, man. Maybe it's dumb to gatekeep when there like definitely isn't a gate and I'm pretty sure there's not even a fence
