I couldn't resist any longer, so I am now finally a proud owner of an #Amiga1200. It needs some hardware work (e.g. new capacitors), but seems to be otherwise fine and was for nowadays' prices almost a bargain. Before enjoying some of the exclusive AGA games, first I have to learn to play diskjockey again though - for example, 8 installation disks for the Doom clone "Nemac IV". 😅

Dark Wizard is 30 years now. Created by Kenji Terada (of Final Fantasy fame). I celebrate it by re-starting the game again, new footage recorded from real hardware. Though graphics are mediocre, the depth of gameplay and story still warrant playing it. At 16:45, look at the sheer size of the world map!

This is the Atari 800 M.U.L.E. title theme recorded from a real Atari 800, PAL machine. Do you notice the slightly off-key music? Back in the day, publishers did not take much care to accurately adapt games developed in NTSC 60Hz countries to PAL 50Hz countries. Too bad, because the original Atari 800 60Hz M.U.L.E. title theme really sounds great!
