Dear followers, the next 12-13 days (starting tomorrow) I will be less available due to a family holiday. I will be enjoying some time off and relax with my wife and son. Seriously, a hydrogen tram

If you have enough passengers to need a new tram line, that means you're likely replacing a pretty regular bus - so you’ll be running the thing on a short route, regularly. Like every 10 mins regular. SO PUT UP AN OVERHEAD WIRE

And if you have an existing tramway, it's going to have an overhead wire anyway

A hydrogen powered metro train is about the only thing I can think of that would top the stupidity of this

@timkmak it is so toxic they haven't found a way yet to pretend it could come within an ocean of complying with the GDPR, which isn't merely an annoyance aimed at American corporations but the consequence of respecting a fundamental right, privacy.

Even with the Irish DPA, which is (pardon my French) a fucking underfunded joke.

1/ Russia's space agency Roskosmos is reportedly evaluating options for using space rockets to drop aerial bombs on Ukraine from orbit. The proposal is likely to face serious technical difficulties, not least the risk of bombs burning up from the heat of atmospheric reentry. ⬇️

could be guided. In effect what's Rogozin proposing is to build Soyuz into an ICBM (ho-hum) to bomb Ukraine. Presumably with conventional explosives, but you see how NORAD could like the idea..

(B. E. Chertok's memoirs mention that during the Cuba crisis, some R7 were prepared to the launch pad with a military payload)

@Erik @foufoutos no problem, he has a clearly different discourse abroad than at home (where we have: a rapist Minister for police, a former president of the National Assembly spared prosecution for corruption and now calling to find a fudge in the Constitution to allow a third term even though it's prohibited, a Prime Minister who uses every trick in the book to "pass laws" with no vote ("in the name of democracy") etc.

I'm afraid every country you cited could be expanded in a similar dark way
