Folks, please answer this question as if I were a complete nitwit, because I really am.

My trusted Razer Kiyo USB appears to be in its death throes. It looks like it's getting detected just fine, and I can use it for about two seconds, at which point it freezes and appears to upset all my USB devices (?), and becomes unusable. It does this on two different machines, so I think it is the camera, as opposed to a local USB problem.

Where do I start this?

@xahteiwi is it usb 3? They use 9 pins. The five other pins are behind the first row. Did something get in there? If you do not start video, does it also wreck havoc? Can you rule out that the cable is broken? Does it behave different depending from where the cable goes into the camera?

And these are the before and after pictures of the cast metal frame. I used deoxit and an old cloth and cotton buds to remove the dirt and cover the metal at the same time with the deoxit, which usually gives a very thin coating that will protect the metal. Smells horribly though. :)
I think I will need to lube the top and bottom ball bearings of the spindle. The top one I can reach easily. For the bottom one I probably have to unmount the flywheel, but I don't want to...

Wir müssen einfach unserem nördlichen Nachbarland besser erklären, wie man die Panier von einem Schnitzel richtig aufsoufflieren lässt.

Und dass das Schnitzel fernzuhalten ist von Soße, Pampe und Tunke, zefix.

@isotopp @xahteiwi ich kann bestätigen dass hier gerne auch mal Wiener Schnitzel verkauft wird, ohne zu erwähnen, dass es vom Schwein ist. Was in Deutschland ja klar verboten ist und nur noch als Schnitzel Wiener Art beworben werden darf.

Wenn du einen Geschirrspüler suchst, das Modell im Netz inkl. Versand für 870 EUR findest, du dann aber lokale Firmen anfragst (weil, „Support the Locals“), und die dir einen Preis von bis zu 1.700(!!!) EUR anbieten.

@phranck mein Vater hat vor vielen Jahren mal eine Maschine der vermutlich gleichen Marke verkauft und dann bei Mediamarkt billiger bekommen wie beim Hersteller als registrierter Handwerker.

@phranck ein Hersteller kann es auch gut kontrollieren, welche Erfahrung der Kunde beim Kauf hat. Damals gab es auch eine signifikante Prämie für unabhängige Handwerker, wenn sie bei der Installation auch alle Funktionen des Gerätes erklärt haben, zumindest bei Waschmaschinen. Welche Wirkung das auf Kunden hatte, habe ich sogar als Kind bemerkt.

  • Delete one test
  • Change the width of the terminal
  • Keep it as a visceral reminder of the uncomfortably chaotic nature of the universe
  • Write more tests

@phranck wichtig: Limetten kaufen die nicht gespritzt wurden. Da die Schale normalerweise nicht verzehrt wird, wird Zeug gespritzt, dass noch an der Schale ist. Habe den Unterschied bei Caipis gemerkt.
Die russische gezuckerte Kondensmilch ist halb so teuer.
Ich habe das Rezept in Brasilien noch nicht gesehen, kann mir aber gut vorstellen, dass sie das machen, aber mit Sicherheit mit der ganzen Dose😊

I've had my corporate email handled via both #GMail and #O365 for many years now and I can say with utmost confidence that both are HORRIBLE AS FUCK email services.
Including randomly deleting incoming email because "deduplication" etc.

I'd never accept that level of "service" for my personal email.

I truly do not understand why businesses do.

Die Leute, die VC in OSS Projekte stecken, sehen keinen Return. Und mittlerweile sehen sie es nicht mehr ein.

Also sehen wir einen Haufen Lizenzen, die primär verhindern sollen, daß AWS "mein" OSS-Projekt als AWS-Dienst durch Amazon anbietet. Du kannst es immer noch als Dienst durch "mich" mieten oder halt selbst betreiben.

Der Rest ist Kollateralschaden.

A is a red flag (unless perhaps to a NGO/charity).

Look for projects that chose strong Free, Libre, Open Source protections - such as the / / and a Developer-Certificate-of-Origin () rather than setting yourself up.

@phranck meine Tochter war Anfang des Jahres mit der Schule beim Bürgermeister. Dort hat er den Kindern gesagt, dass das kommen wird. Ich vermute, es muss also noch umgesetzt werden. Würde mich sehr freuen wegen unserer kleinen Einliegerstrasse die gleichzeitig Zufahrt für den Supermarkt ist. Ich habe oft „Spaß“ wenn ich schon vor dem Supermarkt langsamer werde um einzuparken.
