Yes, yes, - yes there are parallels to the early Genesis, P.Gabriel inclusive. However Trevor Horn to me took care about a better rhythm. It was Jazz before only. And Wakeman, the inpersonate Yes keyboarder left Yes so many times. Other say Squire and Howe have been the real thing. Anderson always was only the one and only voice. But Horn and Rabin did vocals very well.

SLIM'S ALIVE!! The team reestablished communication with the spacecraft after the Sun inched round in the sky and hit the solar panels. Wild science'ing instantly began!

I don't think has a long lunar surface program. It is primarily a technology demonstration to test the image matching navigation (100% success) and 2-step landing (busted due to the loss of one of the two main engines). So I think the multi-band camera will snap hundreds of images while the Sun is up, and then be done.

Big step forward for space science today, with two new missions adopted into the science programme:

  1. EnVision – probing Venus with imagers, spectrometers, & a synthetic aperture radar to characterise the atmosphere & surface of our nearest neighbour in unprecedented detail.

  2. LISA – a space gravitational wave observatory to understand the physics of some of the most powerful events in the Universe, including the mergers of supermassive black holes.

I'm using the same keyboard and mouse with two different macs (my laptop and desktop) at work and I must say... that's clever.

(I just push the mouse against the end of the display as if it's sliding over to a second external monitor, but it's now controlling a different computer)

Remember, that MacOS is based on Unix or Linux . With X11 Displays and X11 Terminal monitors the concept of networked display that includes input devs is about 40 years old. Mac only inherited Unix technology. The only reason why people don't remember is the Microsoft dominance.

A temple visit is a traditional New Year activity in Japan, with 5 yen coins being a traditional offering, as “five yen” said in Japanese (go en) sounds the same as “good fortune” or “auspicious connection”: likely helpful for most requests at a shrine from love to health!

After unpacking this bad boy today, I have to say the pass through is... pretty spectacular. I couldn't read text on my computer screen or phone through the Quest 3 cameras but... it's damn close. Amazing upgrade from the Quest 2 which was a grainy, black and white view only for checking your physical location.

What does the spec say? Q3 1500g 😥 Q2 only 500g. Comes from a heavier battery? Of course. My battery addon head-backpack makes Q2 even lighter (balancing) The runtime for Q3 before reloading is a crucial parameter. Maybe the weight feels heavier before the better runtime stops? Or stops it before it becomes too heavy? 😁

I caught me s.t. by surprise every time when system filesystems get write errors due to run out of space . Also if no swap was not configured and memory gets out of space.Usually linux get stuck without notice if I had not put a console on top of many windows. If I had no chance because special memory requirements couldnot be fullfilled for all time then I thought that Linux should warn me by memory or storage quotas without or before cutting off operation.

Oh, I missed that: A recent study in usage of Germans for the first time included .
It says, that 2% of Germans over 14 years use it at least once week. That would be ~1,6 Million people I guess and like TikTok in 2019 😅
3% of 14 to 49 year olds use at least weekly, 1% of all adult Germans daily.
For 14 to 29 year olds it's bigger than & .

thanks, very usefull ( like many infos from IT magazine from heise😉). My 50 cents to the last position of mastodon is this: social platform tools are complicated. That's why people don't want to leave an environment they are used to know. And of course their community. Many would leave if their group of people would leave, too. What can we do? Nothing! I enjoy fediverse/mastodon because the mob stays outside on the other platforms😁😎

I miss your notice about the fact that solstice this year is on 22.12 , not on 21.12 . Due to the leapyear it isn't always on same day each year.
