FINALLY

@fmacskasy @RustyBertrand this aid drop is part of an aid package that also includes 14.1B allocated to Israel for military spending. The US is funding genocide and simultaneously “providing aid” to the ones being massacred.

It’s also not shocking that this specific drop and the “urgency” of it is coming after 100,000 people voted uncommitted in the Democratic primary in Michigan just days ago.

Has anybody heard of moving tape that is safe to leave on old wood furniture?

I haven’t and the movers who just put a ton of antique furniture in storage for me is convinced it’ll be fine that they are wrapped in tape…

My couldn’t find any special non-sticky moving tape that is apparently “lots of movers use” and so me thinks I’m not googling the right thing or…I don’t know but these pieces will be in there for 2+ years and I don’t even trust painters tape.

My 7-year-old cousin who’s in elementary school has been getting constantly criticized by her teacher for what she wears. An example was on Valentine’s Day when she wore a knee length, long sleeved dress with a cut out of a heart exposing a small space on her middle upper back , and black stockings.

Her teacher “you should really watch what you wear.” She was referring to the cut out.

I’m fuming.

Let’s remember though that OC also didn’t plan for the late-night bus route back to my house and we had to hop off and take an Uber. Despite it being a main friggen route on the 1st night of Bluesfest.

Stupid me decided to do a social media search of my about-to-hire contractor and welp, he was a convoy supporter. Fundamentally want to run away hard but I’ve already done so much work to find a contractor I feel good working with. Maybe I should just stop judging and assuming people’s archetype based on a limited social media search. Does this make me as bad as the right?

@RyeNCode Ahh Alberta, ya you’d have to learn to play nice. Realistically I need to remember that not everyone who were in support of the convoy are extremists. The political spectrum is a spectrum for a reason and without it we wouldn’t have democracy.

@RowinSpeez although I don’t agree with right-winged rhetoric, I do understand why some groups would have been in support of the convoy based on the information at the time. Thankfully in my limited search I only turned up a post or two from the time of the convoy and nothing in subsequent years and haven’t gotten an “extremist” vibe off of him.. they seem to be pretty overt these days.

@kevinlovestech sure the job needs to get done, but this is a $300k+ Reno that will span over 1 year, so there is also principle about who you give your money and business to. The convoy is a rather big sticking point with Ottawa folk and businesses who were found to be supporting it have been boycotted even to this day (ex: Luna’s Cafe). Allll of this said - yes I need to learn to play nicely in the sandbox.
