The Federal Trade Commission is STILL accepting complaints from the public related to the shortage of and ADHD medications generally.

This is such a strange lawsuit.

@mirgray I question the validity of the claim and how much of this can be blamed on social media giants when it’s easy for them to say that it’s the parents who are giving permission to be on the sites, and are providing the devices to access them. Plus there are parental control options. Parents are also the ones modeling the behaviour and addiction of social media.

I read a bit more and saw that there is a case in the US that’s similar, I just don’t see how this is a viable lawsuit.

The UN Security Council just passed a resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza during Ramadan. The US abstained.

The calls for the release of all hostages on all sides.

Russia attempted to put the word "permanent" into the text but of course the US voted against it.

@dbattistella It looks like the immediate ceasefire is only until the end of Ramadan on April 9th, and that they are only asking for the release of hostages captured October 7th, not for ones Israel has taken hostage since.

Just saw a post on asking where they can get their dogs baptized.

The first comment reassured her dogs never sin (truth).

A reply to the comment proclaimed some humans also never sin, and questioned why there wasn’t a bible for dogs.

And now someone is asking # 2 to “name someone who has been perfect their whole life”.

Love the internet sometimes.

is being new in a position, having a client come in super angry with an issue, finding the issue, fixing the issue, telling the client what the issue was and how you fixed it.. then getting in trouble the next day for doing “too much”.

@bowreality It’s so weird to me that some people after covid wouldn’t even think to mask if they were in public sick. My office even has a box of masks for public use at the front. I cant even respond to a comment like that because I’d just lose my shit 😅😂

Preparing taxes for people is oddly such a satisfying job for my .

It’s seasonal with repeat clients who only come to see you for an hour, once a year. “See you next year” is my new favourite line.

It’s a process and I am a facilitator. All long-term problems can be deferred to CRA.

I can teach as a subject matter expert and people actually listen because it saves them money.

The tea spilled does not disappoint.. at all 🫖

@RyeNCode forms kill me.. admin work kills me. I used to be an employment counselling & the paperwork was the death of me. This is oddly different. The tax software auto fills from CRA. Minimum data entry and the physical file holds the slips.. but all that is provided by client. Easy enough where there is a “right” and “wrong” but complex enough where I can problem-solve & help people. Once the tax return is done, there is no lingering paperwork and I move on to the next. It’s so satisfying.
