I was trying to convince an old Twitter friend to join Mastodon and they were like “well, how many followers do you have on Mastodon?” and I thought about it and realized that’s one of the problems with the Twitter mentality.

Ah, it’s that time of the night when my neighbour’s annual big garden party turns to drunken group “shout singing” 🙄

I’m so glad they’re able to make occasional good use of the concrete & astroturf desert they made of the forest that was there when they moved in 👍

The rest of the time, it’s a sterile mausoleum.

No wonder all the dragonflies, frogs, & grasshoppers live on our side of the hedge 🤷‍♂️🙂

USian friends---what's happening at WVU is worth paying attention to. It's not clear if it's possible to prevent the program closures at this point, but at a minimum, we should bear witness.

I remember after my first communion (they didn't let me wear a dress) my mom said "now christ has entered your heart" and me being the little wise ass I said "more like he entered my digestive system”

@Alice @Waitnwallflower for the fifty million pictures I took from middle school on when I had my own darkroom, I sucked to high heaven as an archivist. 95% of what remains from Those Days™ are my slides, mostly because they were in the tray and a box already
