Google saw the snow starting up again, so he climbed into bed. Lycos quickly followed so that she could cuddle with him.

I'm 31 years old now :catjam:

heatharcadia,

@Gargron Happy birthday!

Ice keeps falling from the sky, so I'm staying in today. I wish I had a shell bed to curl up in like Lycos does.

I bought my cats a cat bed for Christmas, and it shipped in a box that I fear will be a bigger hit than the bed itself. #caturday #catsofmastodon #catstodon #cats #cutecats

Happy ! It's that time of year when full sun is rare and sunset comes early, so whenever or wherever there is a sunbeam, Lycos and Google have to savor it. Sometimes that means that I can't use the stairs.

A view of the same scene, but from above. In this view, you can see how much of the width of the stairs the cats are taking up. There is very little room to walk around them.

In September, I was walking to the Audubon Nature Reserve with my camera. On my way, I passed some neighborhood cats and decided to also take their photos. I wish that others would keep their cats indoors (for the safety of the cat and safety of the wildlife in the area) but just because they are outdoors doesn't mean they don't also deserve love and attention.

A solid-grey cat, eyes closed, resting in a patch of mostly dried grass. There is a clump of green grass blades and a dandelion poof in the foreground.

Last Saturday, I got up at 5:00 am to drive down to Eugene and hike up Spencer Butte in hopes of seeing the eclipse, but Oregon decided to be Oregon and I only saw two seconds of the show. But the journey was still worth it: I got to enjoy seeing the clouds above and morning fog below doing cool things from my vantage point.

Stately homes surrounded by mostly coniferous trees, shrouded in fog.
A dead tree with two birds perched on its branches is silhouetted against a thick, yellow-tinted wall of clouds.
A view looking towards the Cascades. One peak is visible in the distance, where the clouds begin to break. Below are hills wrapped in bands of fog.

Came home from my lunch walk to this. It's almost ...

I'm glad that Google and Lycos are able to rest up after terrorizing me all morning while I was trying to concentrate on work.

He is upset that I was still working at 4:56 pm and that, because of that, we missed the Ice Cream Man, who drove right in front of our house for the first time in ages.

The same cat on the ledge. It has laid its head down in defeat and now a front leg dangles in front, along with one back leg and tail.
