Man sollte folgendes haben:

  • einen Windows, Linux oder macOS Computer
  • ein Microsoft Konto mit einem Java Edition Konto
  • ein Discord Konto
  • gute Deutschkenntnisse
  • Basiskenntnisse über Minecraft
  • Basiskenntnisse über Technik (Zip-Datei entpacken, Programme installieren, usw.)

Informationen zum Modpack (Server- & Clientseitig):

There are two kinds of desktop environments:
Those, who just develop their DE (e.g. XFCE, GNOME, etc.) and those who not only develop their desktop but also want to make it awesome for everyone (like KDE).

I just love KDE.

With the impending release of Mastodon 4.2.0, I wanted to highlight the new Public Profile page.

There are several new options here, and they WILL control whether your posts are part of the new full text search. This feature is OPT IN, so if you're wanting your posts to be included, you're going to have to manually give it the thumbs up. If you don't, well, keep on doing what you're doing.

@mike It's funny that other fedi server softwares have implemented that years ago, best example is Misskey/Firefish. And one thing is even missing: An option to disallow people/companies building AI to use your posts, which is an option on other server softwares.

I've been essentially off Twitter for almost a year now, and Mastodon has become an increasingly rich, diverse replacement. Many of the gaps that were here a year ago are filling in.

I still miss the extensive breaking news coverage and official government and org accounts I remember from Twitter.

When I've mentioned this in the past, zealots here have suggested I shouldn't want those things and that they'd somehow ruin this "community".

I disagree. We can have those things without Nazis.

@mattblaze Hey, I'm very sorry but it is called "Fediverse", not "Mastodon". The fediverse is practically the platform you're using, and Mastodon is the frontend/client you are using.

Why that? Well... Mastodon is not the only server software communicating over the ActivityPub protocol (which the Fediverse is using). There is Firefish or Akkoma for example, which are microblogging servers too. But there is Pixelfed for image sharing and even PeerTube for videos, and there's so much more out there.

In simple(r) terms:
Mastodon is the server software, and is not the only one out there. The Fediverse is the actual platform.
