I finally got my linux machine working again after doing a BIOS reset/magic. A friend told me that VSCode has a good c++ compiler and debugger. Not as good as VS and Xcode, but close. Once I get to NZ I'll spend some time getting it working.

Alright, whatโ€™s the deal with every YouTuber doing ad reads for data deletion services? Seemingly everyone got a deal with either #DeleteMe or Aura. I find the idea of such services good, but Iโ€™ve never used one nor even investigated them. The amount of creators they sponsor makes them seem very suspicious; itโ€™s like VPN and Raycon and Raid Shadow Legends all over again ๐Ÿคจ Does anyone know whatโ€™s up with that?

It's true. The file mangers for GTK are sub par across the board.

Thunar should be it. But it doesn't remember closing position well. It's supposed to, but it does not. At least past 5 tabs. Also, it has this odd behavior where you open a tab thinking one pane is in focus, but it opens it in the other pane. Very annoying.

Nautilus is still the slowest thing I've ever seen because it does not like that I have my open home folder and the regular location of XDG-DIRS are empty.

I know people think that I place too much weight on a file manager, but I can't express how much I use it. I drag and drop things all around, it's my primary way of moving files around the system. I know I could use the terminal, and it dings by nerd cred to admit it, but I don't want to use the terminal to move files around.
