There are absolutely no excuses for not finishing your book.

Writer's block? It's not a valid reason. Lack of time? That's not an acceptable excuse either.

If someone has hurt you, take some time to grieve, go for a walk, but then return to writing. You owe it to your readers to deliver the story you've promised them.
