@timbray it's interesting that "bill maher" called modi out and said he wasn't afraid of potential reprisals, when it is known that modi is connected to at least two international assassinations. Didn't mention that aspect at all on his show, "Real Time With Bill Maher", either.

@baldur I also live on an island with no apple stores (albeit only a ~4 hour trip to the nearest one on the mainland), and have never liked this aspect of mac ownership.

I might go Framework next.

Iceland does have the advantage of active volcanoes, though. Why go through the hassle of a warranty return when you can just fling the POS into a lava flow ...

Good morning, and welcome to Enshittification Tuesday. We've got quite a selection for your perusal today, and shockingly it isn't all related to AI.

We've got:

  • Microsoft adds AI spyware at the OS level

  • iTerm2 adds AI spyware at the Terminal level

  • FireTV interface has been sneakily tweaked to automatically subscribe users to new services when downloading certain apps (yes, there's a confirmation screen, but blink and you'll miss it & might get double-subscribed)

I have a question regarding dependencies and semver for maintainers. let's say I have package B which depends on package A.

If I move a class from package A to package B does this constitute a BC break for A and B or only for A ?

@nyamsprod @cam could project A's interfaces be updated to inherit from the "new" interfaces in project B? That way dependencies of A wouldn't necessarily break right away ...

(But sometimes a clean break is better)

Imagine working for a company that is so well managed, that is so well organized and competently led, that a genuinely felt need for a tool that let you be in three meetings at the same time somehow emerged organically from the working culture as a problem worth solving.
