    Sometimes I really wish I were less excited about food or at least would pick one certain cuisine to love. It would trying to plan my food for the next week a lot less painful and long 😩

    I wanted to share this happy accident. Ran out of filament during a test print where aesthetics didn't matter. Swapped to next "whatever" filament.

    I LOVE this transition from shiny rainbow layers to flat grey. Would probably be great with matte black too.

    Not great for THIS particular application, but I can think of a lot of places where a band of flat color in the middle of - or end of - a longer print would be "chef's kiss"

    Let's talk about corporate dehumanization of employees, and blatant disrespect for customers with a heavy helping of blatant corporate greed. That is to say, let's talk about Burger King.

    Dehumanization:
    Right now BK has the tagline "where you rule" because it's a pun on the "King" and the colloquialism "dude you rule!" In an abstract sense it's actually clever. In their application of it, it dehumanizes their employees and shows a complete lack of empathy

    I respect you as a person, but you are speaking a foreign language to me.

    I know their stuff, had to try it and of course I have had McDonalds, BK, and probably all the other chain food place stuff, but never found it satisfying in any way.

    I am quite sensitive, eat clean, and can taste when things are not good for me and there's no way anything I make at home resembles these products.

    I hope I can respectfully share what breakfast is in my book, this makes me feel good!

    Yeah, it's cool, I just see this as an exploration of differences between two people, for interests sake, no judgement.

    I'll counter with:

    It's literally: slice bread, open tinned fish, take things out of fridge and arrange on plate, and fry a couple of eggs. This is about as low effort as it gets in my kitchen.

    I never eat first thing in the morning, always lunchtime, so I guess this is brunch.

    To me food is my primary source of pleasure, I love preparing it and eating it.

    Curious, not having a go, I really want to know because I feel I need to do something similar myself:

    How does de-branding work when you have your name as a logo? Is that one of the things that will have to go? How will you choose a font, given they are so deeply associated with so much? etc. Is it ever really possible to de-brand completely?

    Or am I missing the point?

    Ooooh I seeeee, so less about removing personal branding and more about de-branding in the sense of disassociating with other brands!

    That makes so much more sense 😂

    I have similar associations, Wordpress is a big part of my history too, I am moving with the times and embracing FSE, but I feel less and less like a developer as time goes on with that platform.

    Again, all good food for thought!

    I too am at a crossroads, I am even considering stopping taking on any new customers and moving away from tech altogether it's got that bad.

    It's just what to do next, it seems every discipline has similar problems. It should not be that hard to find a way to make a modest living, but here we are fighting spectres and ghouls not of our making!

    I just checked my profile and pinned posts and am very proud of myself for not mentioning web design/programming once - and that is how I make my living 😂

    Anyone know what these connectors are (wired - top)? I thought they were JST XH2.54 but as you can hopefully see, they are subtly different...

    The socket they go into is shown in the bottom photo.

    These are the main connectors used in my DX100 between the PCB and the LCD/matrix/pots.
