My new life goal is to have a 20+ acre homestead by the time I'm 50. A forever home. Somewhere semi-remote and surrounded by forest. Less people and more animals. Less technology. Less preservatives and toxins. Less noise. Less light pollution. Less reliance on anyone but myself and the land.

@mike Such an excellent post, and it may have rekindled my hardware lust just a little bit. I used to have a real passion for building PCs that were as affordable as consoles and just as powerful. (Even a short side gig selling them to friends and followers). But now Iโ€™ll live vicariously through your adventures. Thanks for sharing this, was a joy to read.

Pretty wild that Bethesda was like "NAH, you don't need to adjust any graphical settings for on Steam Deck."

(Tip: you can add "SteamDeck=0 %command%" to the launch settings to reinstate the launcher that has said graphics settings, but still. HUGE foul on the play.)

I didn't expect to fanboy out over a Cards View update that just landed in #Thunderbird Beta 126.0b1, but here we are. I LOVE IT! Itโ€™s a MAJOR visual improvement, and Iโ€™m ridiculously proud of our UX team for landing it.

This also needs to be repeated over and over: our team growth and user growth, all the visual and technical improvements, our increasing sustainability, NONE of it would be possible without the generosity of our donors.

@crcollins My condolences about that. My garden isnโ€™t even mature enough to have aphids, but Iโ€™m afraid of what happens once the 10 or so tomato plants start filling out. Itโ€™s nerve-wracking!

GARDEN UPDATE: Less than two weeks ago I potted up the little tomato seedlings. 12 days later, they are THRIVING!

... gonna have to learn how to preserve tomatoes, make tomato sauce, make salsa...
